Seo tip: Don’t Ignore Yahoo for search Traffic
Millions of people are spending countless hours learning and
improving their “SEO” techniques to impress Google spiders. They do it all in the search for the top spots on search page results. With
all the craziness and ever changing algorithm done by Google - trying to get to the top [ honestly ] can easily shave 20 years
off your life span.
But what other way can you build traffic to your site - what if I told you “choosing second best - may be the best
choice”?
You might be buying into all the hype that Google is the “be all and end all” of the internet. But while Google
may be the big search engine dog on the block - you can not ignore Yahoo’s 400 + million returning, loyal users. Yahoo
may trail Google in the “Advertising” department - but that in no way diminishes it’s reach. In fact, Yahoo
may have an advantage over it’s competitors, who are struggling to create a loyal fan base. Yahoo already has that fan
base - or loyal visitors who come every day to yahoo for their online needs.
Optimizing for Yahoo search
Considering the challenges that one must face in order to even compete with the big boys
in Google - maybe one should consider adopting a 400 + million market and striving to master the second largest search engine
before killing yourself with the #1 company?
Yahoo has built a loyal following, a membership that has proven it self. A group of visitors that if they like what you
offer are more willing to commit to joining for the long haul such as email groups, RSS, and more - not here for just one
search.
Yahoo apparently still relies on keywords and meta tag descriptions. It also has a new feature to help searchers find more
relevant results [ proving they also like key phrases ]. see: Yahoo Natural Search tips that get results.
Yahoo also has some differences when it comes to search compared to it’s competitors and should be considered if
you want to reach that 400+ million potential visitors. Yaro Starak offers: 16 SEO tips for Yahoo.
So while yahoo maybe second best- it certainly has it’s benefits. SEO should be at the core of your overall internet
marketing strategy. It's one of the most inexpensive and effective approaches available. In fact, much of what you can do
to optimize your site for the organic search engines is totally free. But don’t forget - not everyone uses Google for
their search.
